One of my favorite poems by Edgar Allan Poe

A Random Connection poem done by crazyserendipity and me.

Why did you pick me?

 Because than I’d actually tell you how I feel.

Why wasn’t I everything you wanted me to be?

Because she was my Achilles heel.

If we were to go back in time

Then I might be honest with you.

If I could forgive you for that crime

Then I’d kiss you on a whim.

I used to dream of us together,

But now I’ve realized that we were worlds apart.

I used to think you were clever,

But now I know we could each have a fresh start.

My little brother wrote a poem for school (in collaboration with my mother). Here’s an excerpt, otherwise known as my favorite part:

Beyond my wildest imagination,

Behind the colorful gates,

Among my family….
